With Bruno Mars' debut album campaign I knew I had an opportunity to do something special. Bruno had no idea what he wanted but was very particular about what he didn't like.
In the landscape of pop artists today it's so typical to see their face as the flagship of the campaign, but Bruno was very adamant in not seeing himself and creating a true piece of art.
In an ode to Saul Bass, Dr. Suess, outerspace, and the 50's doo wop era, we came away with something bold and artistic, with the silhouette of him as the centerpiece of the visual branding.
and yellow is bad ass.
