When HowAboutWe and Revlon brought me in to execute their branded content partnership, I saw an opportunity to create a beauty campaign that was multi-faceted, innovative and unique. In collaboration with MediaCom and ProMedia Productions, we told the story of Maddie, the girl-next-door living in New York City for the first time and trying to find love. As she ventured on 12 dates in 12 weeks, this documentary style story line combined with specific thematic makeup tutorials and dating advice gave an authentic experience for love seeking young women.
The detailed concept was met with an elaborate execution. A significant amount of content was created between step by step video tutorials with corresponding traditional beauty imagery and lifestyle editorial. In order for the finished product to be completed at the highest quality required for Revlon’s needs, I was hands on from concept to production to set direction and the editing room.
I rescheduled this entire shoot to have a day off in the middle so I could propose to my girlfriend. She said yes.
