For Trey Songz's fifth studio album, Chapter V, we had a very clear vision for what we wanted to accomplish.Branding the tally mark 'five' was something we established early on and built everything around. A classic repeating image of Marvin Gaye that Trey loved played a huge part in the final campaign branding.
Although the cover was originally a different concept which was the clean simple portrait of trey peering through a tally mark shaped window (shown first), we ended up with something still very dramatic. The rain turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
No models were harmed in the making of this campaign.
